Manpower Engineering is seeking a Lean Manufacturing Engineer for our client in the Glasgow, KY area. Direct hire position. Relo package available. Summary:This person will be key in leading the transformation journey of continuous improvement with the support of the industrial engineer. Company wants to evolve their problem-solving skills, their 5s initiatives, the Value Stream Map exercises, the Kaizen and TPM events. We''re looking for a person that can be self-driven, with excellent verbal and communication skills as they must convince and persuade ''non-believers'' in lean.Overview of job duties:Lead and help implement the lean core tools across the plants (e.g. 5s, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizens, Visual Management)Act as a change agent for leading continuous improvement initiatives including development and delivery of lean training materials and programsOversee the Diagnostics of Excellence Operations projects decided upon by the leadership teamFacilitate and lead teams in continuous improvement eventsFacilitate problem solving by leveraging/modeling continuous improvement methodologies to eliminate root causes and permanently reduce variance.Develop a detailed root cause analysis for each problem, where each root cause is validated through testing demonstrating that the condition or defect can be turned on or offPerform data analysis and provide written reports that make problems and opportunities visible.Work together with Industrial Engineering to analyze lines for constraints and bottlenecks to achieve continuous flowCollaborate with different departments on special projectsHere''s who we are seeking:BS degree in Engineering with 3 years'' experienceHave experience with lean. Preferably some schooling or courses with TPS, Six Sigma, Lean Certification, Shingo Institute, etc.)Strong understanding and demonstrated experience in the areas of Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Lean principals, statistics and data analysisExcellent verbal and written communication skills necessary in order to persuade and influence decision making of individuals, groups, or work teamsAbility to solve practical problems in situations where only limited standardization existsAbility to learn and understand materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of productsExperience with the following methodologies and practices: FMEA, Kaizen, Lean tools, 5S, Visual Factory Aids, SMED concepts, VSM, VOC and Poka Yoke
