Light Duty Tow Truck Driver $1500 Sign-on Bonus!Guardian Fleet Services is an EMPLOYEE OWNED company! Come join our team! Employees are part owners of the company! We are one of the largest towing, recovery, and special transport companies in the country. 2 years of experience are required.Essential Duties:Report each scheduled day, on-time, ready and able to work; well-groomed and in uniformIdentify to the appropriate Dispatcher that you are available to workPerform vehicle inspection sheet daily, identifying any mechanical issuesWear all required safety equipment during work hoursReport all mechanical issues with regard to trucks and trailers at the time of discovery to the Terminal Manager, Dispatcher, or Mechanical SupervisorResponsible to follow all Company and DOT rules and regulations regarding the safe operation of the truck.Check fuel level at the end and at the beginning of each shift.Check fluid levels at the end and beginning of each shiftInspect all supplied tools such as chains, straps, and cables to ensure equipment is in a good and safe conditionMaintain clean truck inside and out, removing all trash/debris dailyWash exterior and interior of truck three (3) times per weekCommunicate with dispatch center, meeting all company and DOT regulationsImmediately report any issue that restricts the ability to complete the dispatch in a timely manner.Follow all company policies and DOT regulationsFollow all Company procedures, including the removal of drive shafts and axels.Respectful communication with all dispatchers, co-workers, and customersComplete manifests and tow slips as required by the company, local and state agenciesReport all incidents to Dispatch or Terminal ManagementAbility to drive and perform duties via interstate for towing, recovery, and/or transportOther duties as assigned Qualifications, Education, and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED (preferred), Relevant trade school - Towing, recovery, or transport accreditationCommercial driver''s license - CDL for Heavy Transport PositionsAt least two (2) years of relative commercial driving experiencePhysical RequirementsThe job requires lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, significant bending and reaching, and climbing. significant physical strength and stamina. Ability to lift and pull at least 50 lbs. good hearing and vision petencies and AbilitiesStrong customer service skills, professional demeanorMust be able to speak, write and communicate in EnglishAbility to communicate calmly and effectivelyBasic technology skills.
