Science Communicator with Security Clearance

Job Number: R0145632 Science CommunicatorKey Role: Design, develop, produce, and consult on a variety of internal and external communications materials and media. Apply knowledge in a variety of scientific and te chn ical disciplines to various communications and media products. Develop or contribute to solutions for a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance and review or guide the activities of more junior employees. Basic Qualifications: * Experience with translating complex scientific or te chn ical concepts to both learned and a lay audience* Knowledge of a variety of communications tools, platforms, and formats* Knowledge of Micro sof t ( MS ) Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel* Ability to present complex information creatively through concise language and visualizations* Secret clearance* Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline Additional Qualifications: * Experience with developing or implementing strategic communications strategies* Experience with survey design concepts* Experience with planning, hosting, or facilitating meetings and events* Knowledge of Army or DoD programs and regulations* Master''s degree in a STEM discipline preferred; Ph.D degree in a STEM discipline a plus Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
