Senior Service Desk Systems EngineerFair Haven, NJ (on-site, hybrid, or remote - employee choice) $70-80k, commensurate with experienceWe are a Managed Services Provider providing advanced network/systems infrastructure solutions to SMB''s. We are looking for a special individual to join our organization. We expect this person to be a team player, organized, and a strong communicator who possesses the ability to adapt to diverse technical environments and crush tickets!.The primary purpose of the Remote Support team is to provide immediate remote support for our clients'' end-users with their Windows workstations, Thin Clients, MS-Office, MS-Outlook, Active Directory, Desktop Security (Antivirus / SPAM, etc.) VPN Clients, servers, networking, and vendor specific hardware and software. This team comprises of a multi-level support structure consisting of Administrators who provide basic support, Specialists who configure and install Desktop items, and Engineers who are the lead troubleshooters for the team.As a Senior Remote Support Engineer, you''re primarily responsible for handling Tier III support tickets in a professional and timely manner while troubleshooting, researching, diagnosing, documenting, and resolving highly technical issues surrounding servers, workstations, MS-Office applications, email, other specific line of business applications as well as some hardware/peripheral equipment.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Install and configure workstations, notebooks, network printers, and mobile devicesSupport internet-related equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless appliancesSetup and configuration of various internet connections (FIOS, cable, etc.)Setup and configuration of wireless equipmentProvide assistance via remote softwareTroubleshoot PC operating system functionalityAbility to complete minor repairs, upgrades, and installation of hardware and softwareRemoval of unwanted / malicious software from computersDocumentation of all tasks performedDesire to obtain vendor certificationsRemain calm and focused in pressure situationsParticipate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours supportSuccessfully set priorities, perform tasks in an orderly fashion and meet time deadlinesStay current with changing technologies, willing and able to take on new tasks and responsibilitiesRequired:Deep knowledge of, and 5+ years of experience implementing, administering, and supporting: Windows 7 / 8 / 10, Microsoft Office/O365, Windows 2008R2 / 2012/R2 Server & Active Directory (account administration), Group Policy, Microsoft Exchange Server (new user accounts / distribution lists / groups / message tracking)Must have some combination of: MCP, MCTS, MCSA: Windows 2008 Server, MCSA: Windows 2012 Server, MCITP: Windows 2008 Server Administrator, MCITP: Enterprise Administrator on Windows 2008, MCSE: Server Infrastructure certificationsProfessional Services Automation Experience: Connectwise, AutoTask, TigerPaw (Connectwise Preferred)Remote Monitoring and Management: Level Platforms, Labtech, Kaseya (Level Platforms Preferred)Hypervisors: VMWAREFirewall / Infrastructure: Watchguard, Dell Powerconnect, Sonicwall, Dell Remote Access ControllerWorking Knowledge: DNS, VLANs, NAT, RAID, SSL, backup methodologies - provided by Dice
