Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Associate Analysis Software Development Engineer for the Satellite Mission Software Division located in Kent, WA. We are seeking an individual that is passionate about space and motivated to be part of a multi-disciplined, collaborative engineering environment that supports the design, development, and implementation of software for Boeing built commercial and government space products!This is an opportunity to work in a rapid tool development environment using modern technology, architecture, and tools. You will work closely with domain experts to build software capabilities and framework for satellite system analysis across a variety of government programs as well as internal research and development projects.We work within an agile methodology using a CI/CD environment; integrated with automated testing, vulnerability, & quality scanning capabilities. You will be encouraged to take responsibility for developing quality software and help to develop and improve software processes where possible.Among other tasks, you will be asked to automate analysis pipelines on local HPCs, develop visualization and post-processing tools, control configurations across various programs, and automate optimization functions for trade space exploration. Depending on your background, you will also be encouraged to actively participate in an analyst role on programs as a user of the tools you develop. You should possess excellent communications skills and work well in a team environment to support the needs of the Integrated Product Team.Primary Responsibilities & Expectations:Automate analysis pipelines running on local HPCsDevelop post-processing and visualization software capabilitiesArchitect databases and implement across variety of programsControl configurations across programs while ensuring consistency where possibleAutomate optimization functions for trade space explorationDevelop custom variations of software capabilities as needed for programsWork closely with domain experts to deliver and use analysis capabilities for satellite program effortsThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options."‹This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor''s, Master''s or Doctorate degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or another related field.2 or more years of experience developing software in a production environmentSoftware development experience with C++, Python and MatlabExperience deploying to and running software on High-Performance Computing (HPC) resourcesExperience using team collaboration tools including Git, JIRA, Confluence, Artifactory, etc.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance with Counterintelligence polygraphCurrent CompTIA Security+ certificationExperience performing analysis, operations, or design for satellite or similarly complex missionsExperience working with GPU-based computingExperience with cloud computing and virtualization technologies (Splunk, Vmware) and containerized applications and frameworks (Docker, Kubernetes)Experience with software development in an agile environment (e.g. SAFe methodology)Experience architecting and working with databases (MySql or equivalent)Typical Education/Experience: Bachelor''s degree and typically 2 or more years'' experience in an engineering classification or a Master''s degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
