An exciting career awaits youAt MPC, we''re committed to being a great place to work - one that welcomes new ideas, encourages diverse perspectives, develops our people, and fosters a collaborative team environment.OverviewThe successful candidate will work within the Terminal Services component of the L&S Terminals organization which supports a dynamic and geographically diverse group of Light Products and Asphalt facilities.The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that all instrumentation, electronics and automation equipment and supporting systems are installed, maintained and operated to support reliable operations which limits downtime and promotes throughput. Support Terminals projects and issues related to instrumentation, electronics and automation equipment and collaborate with other departments accordingly. Recommend corrective measures when equipment failures and/or deficiencies occur, including short- and long-term solutions. Base decisions on accurate data and reliability studies.Key Responsibilities* Manage Controls Infrastructure and Terminal of the Future Programs. Ensure project EFCs are within approved budget allocations. Recommend accelerations/deferrals as needed to ensure Terminals remains within set Capital and Expense budgets.* Develop a five-year plan for assigned Programs. Prepare budget exhibits with appropriate data and present material during Initial Budget reviews.* Support and develop condition based maintenance/monitoring applications to identify equipment degradations prior to failures.* Utilize and develop reliability tools such as Tableau and GE APM to analyze equipment performance and associated costs to drive improvements to maintenance strategies for instrumentation and automation systems.* Assist L3S with design questions and insight into best practices and internal standard compliance for instrumentation and automation systems.* Consider and propose recommendations for the sparing philosophy of both in-service equipment and new installs to ensure minimal lost opportunity cost when unplanned failures occur for instrumentation and automation systems.* Perform work order process for completed work orders related to instrumentation and automation system to ensure data integrity for analytics and reporting.* Stay abreast of instrumentation and automation obsolescence concerns and establish upgrade/replacement plans.* Provide support and troubleshooting to Operations and Terminal Services field personnel as called upon.* Support development of ITPM strategies for western terminals.* Review lost opportunity events and develop action plans to address bad actors.* Complete assigned Intelex tasks.
