Senior System Safety Engineer with Security Clearance

Description SAIC is seeking a Senior System Safety Engineer to join our team of ICBM weapon system. Commit your talents to the critical Department of Defense (DoD) mission of nuclear deterrence by helping sustain and improve the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) leg of the United States Nuclear Triad. This position is located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. Job Duties: * Provide technical leadership of Safety-related efforts * Lead Systems Safety team as well as contribute in the day-to-day team responsibilities * Work with other organizational leadership on priorities, fostering strong relationships, meeting business goals * Build teamwork, improve communications, develop/enforce policies, and work with stakeholders (internal and external) * Work with System Safety, Nuclear Surety, Cybersecurity, Program Protection and various other Integrated Product Teams * Provide training to all personnel for all safety evaluation processes * Evaluate program deliverables * Evaluate system safety engineering requirements & coordinate with system assurance manager Qualifications * Minimum current Secret clearance and able to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance * Bachelors degree and 7 years or more experience; Masters degree and 5 years or more experience * Self-motivated and have the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with the desire to make a difference. * Knowledge and experience working with the DoD and/or Air Force Safety policies and processes and Safety Risk Management Frameworks * Experience reviewing test plans and procedures as a safety engineer Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
