Product Manager

Product Manager will be responsible for executing activities directly related to managing an existing product portfolio, including product rationalization, raw material strategies, portfolio growth, productivity enhancements, supply chain support, and execution of innovation projects and programs. Create and implement strategies and plans for products and programs driving improved customer satisfaction.Work directly with Research and Development to create new solutions for customer problems.Work directly with Marketing, Sales Enablement, Sales Management and Field Engineering to bring successful products to the industrial and commercial market.Manage product life cycle, raw Material and supplier relationships.Improve the portfolio competitiveness through:Cost savings/avoidances in cross functional teamsOptimization of Raw Materials and assigned product linesIdentify and address risks (increasing cost, supply shortages, competitive threats)Ensure an accurate representation of State Industrial to the market with regards to product specific regulations and information.Leverage cross functional groups to couple knowledge of customer needs with existing and future technology capabilities.Stay current on market standards, trends and practices and understand the impact on State Industrial product line and business.Maintain and update sales enablement tools associated with the product lineCreate communications to educate and promote assigned product lines to include live webcast, printed material, and class training sessions. Provide support to the sales team, including product recommendations and commercializationTravel 25% in North AmericaBachelor''s Degree in sciences preferably in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry5 years of professional experience in a business to business environment preferably with sales or sales support experience in the industrial chemical industry, industrial water treatment, municipal or industrial waste water, food processing industry, Industrial and commercial laundry.Strong problem solving, analytical, and project management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work well in a group as a solid team playerAbility to build and maintain relationships and coordinate projects across different functional groups regionallyAttention to detail; strong sense of urgencyLearning and people agilityMust be proficient in Microsoft Office.
