PROJECT OVERVIEW: As a Program Manager for Verite Group Incorporated (VGI) you will Manage Projects of the Network and Security Solutions Division managing daily programmatic functions, interfacing with mission partners internal/external and from private and public sector, reaching out to operational users to ensure proper program support. JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide full system life cycle Program Management expertise managing multiple complex software projects concurrently with successful delivery including expert ability to create and maintain formal program/project documentation through the full program/project life-cycle * Provide Leadership to Software Development Team/s maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction while motivating staff to meet and exceed customer expectations * Responsible for the oversight of all technical and operational functions, including planning, organization, and control of resources to ensure completion of deliverables and supply of services ensuring high quality task production and accomplishment * Manage and maintain contractor interface with the senior levels of the customer''s organization as the primary program interface between the Contractor Staff and the Sponsor, responsible to customer leadership to discuss items of mutual interest and to resolve any difficulties that may arise * Plan, organize, and manage resources, including subcontractors and cross-contractor teams, technical leads, software development engineers, and testers * Lead meetings with key stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze impact, and finalize plans as steps in an iterative process supported by formal sign-off from approvers * Provide final authority for data-driven decisions and follow through on the implementation of such decisions * Prepare, monitor, and operate within program budgets * Exercise independent judgment and discretion in overall program management * Prioritize, plan, track projects, and compile progress reports for Division Manager * Work with task leads to design, develop, and modify software programs, including prototypes, that meet or exceed customer requirements * Consult with Division Manager, internal departments, and external customers to identify division objectives and requirements. * Assign tasks to meet work priorities and goals. REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Security Clearance: TS / Top Secret * Bachelor-s or higher degree from accredited college or university * At least 2+ years of relevant work experience in program management leading programs and personnel * Demonstrated on-the-job full system life cycle Program Management experience managing complex software project/s leading to successful delivery- including demonstrated experience with creating and maintaining formal project documentation through the full project life-cycle. DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience working in formal program/project management, defense contracting, financial management and research proposal development in and/or with the Department of Defense and/or Intelligence Community. * Experience managing federally funded research projects. * Specific technical expertise in any of the following fields is desired: cybersecurity, machine learning, digital communications, high performance computing, information operations (IO), computer network attack (CNA), and computer network defense (CND), and/or computer network operations (CNO). * Formal training and certification in project management such as CAPM or PMP. WORK LOCATION: Dulles, VA TRAVEL: No Travel, periodic engagements at customer sites within 20 miles.
