We are seeking a Systems Engineering IRAD Lead that will be responsible for performing all Systems Engineering / Integration and Test tasks on the Datalink IRAD.This task will include working with a MANET radio vendor to design, package, integrate, test, and demonstrate a MANET datalink capability in the Sniper pod for an International Typhoon aircraft customer. As such, international travel will likely be required to support the ground and flight test demonstrations. As the Systems Engineering IRAD lead, this role will include working with a small team of Electrical, Mechanical, Software, and other engineering disciplines. The role requires clear communication, ability to further refine the demonstration requirements, develop all system requirements, develop all ground and flight test data products, and working with the customer to secure flight clearance. This role needs an active leader who can plan for risk mitigation, organize options, and work seamlessly with other engineering disciplines. Specific work includes:- Developing supplier and system requirements to include ground and flight testing- Develop test plans and perform system verification testing- Planning and preparing test and integration team and assets to be successful long before test needs- Reacting effectively to emerging issues and supporting Return to Green (RTG) plans- Communicating effectively with program management- Manage IRAD budget and schedule- Perform testing, attend SIL and Flight Test Events Internationally- Manage shipment of demonstration hardware All program specific tasks of this role can be learned on-the-job. Organization, planning, direct but friendly communication, willingness to work with and learn from experienced program leads, and a desire to be a leader in a complex program are essential for the right candidate. Basic Qualifications:To be considered for this role you must be able to obtain a Secret clearance and have the ability to perform the following tasks: • Perform requirements definition of achievable design characteristics for an objective system.• Synthesize design characteristics into an implemental system architecture.• Transfer system level requirements to testable structures and modular hardware and software using DOORS.• Experience performing trade studies and Risk and Opportunity Management analyses.• Be able to define and track Technical Performance Measures (TPM''s).• Be able to perform detail system verification activities including definition of verification methodology.• Experience generating and executing a Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP).• Ability to define system tolerances and timelines.Desired Skills:DOORS experience.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.Qualifications Lockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
