Design, review, and provide technical support on structural projects as assigned. This will involve developing a working set of construction drawings and specifications, along with estimates, calculations, and permits, used for bidding and construction of the project. Projects could be only structural design or be part of a multi-discipline team requiring collaboration and coordination of work. Where consultants are utilized for design purposes, this position will coordinate, review, and compile comments for the assigned projects.This position involves the design and review of single and multi-discipline construction, repair, alteration, renovation, and capital improvement projects for buildings, structures, and facilities of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources from beginning to end, including the preparation of design and construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates; participation in planning, design, and construction conferences; review of construction submittals; response to design and construction questions; and assistance in construction terested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:* Full-time employment.* Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with one-hour lunch.* Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The part-time telework schedule may permit up to 50% of the scheduled workdays during a 2-week period to be from an approved telework location in accordance with a telework agreement between the employee and supervisor.* Travel to construction sites statewide as needed.* Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.* You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Necessary Special Requirements: * Possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists. Condition of Employment:* Valid PA Driver''s License required.Other Requirements:* You must meet the PA residency requirement.
