A part of the broader ecommerce team, the Site Merchandising team is responsible for product discovery and easy, inspiring website shopping. A key Ecommerce function, the Site Merchandising team collaborates cross-functionally to create an immersive eCommerce experience for our consumers. The team drives site merchandising strategy and execution for all categories, collaborating with marketing to drive site implementation of the creative and content strategy, website design, consumer experience strategy and optimization as well as with the operations team.About the RoleThe Site Merchandise Manager will own the merchandising strategy and customer journey, developing business strategies that drive purchase confidence and friction free shopping. The Site Merchandise Manager is responsible for driving growth in the online business. With this focus, the Site Merchandise Manager will identify brand enhancing opportunities, recommend new concepts, and optimize processes to deliver a best-in-class ecommerce experience.Responsibilities* Identify site experience opportunities, lead the strategies to achieve sales, and improve site KPIs* Collaborate with the Merchandising teams to identify key opportunities within the category and channel* Work with multiple cross-functional teams to ensure execution of seasonal launches* Manage ongoing communication of deliverables to cross-functional partners* Align with Brand Marketing strategies to develop compelling content and storytelling* Work closely with the Internet Creative team to create inspiring landing pages* Monitor market trends, competitors, and eCommerce technology to deliver an inspiring friction-free customer experience* Identify photography needs that are brand building and highlights our differentiators* Lead execution for a category and site-wide promotions* Analyze weekly and monthly reporting to identify opportunities for the channel* Manage 1+ employee to ensure that the product is set up accurately and launches on time* Attend key cross-functional meetingsCriteria* 5+ years of Merchandising, eCommerce or Marketing experience* Excellent project management skills* Strong affinity for the product and the Pottery Barn brand* Proven analytical and business planning skills* Able to make timely decisions, anticipate problems, and provide creative solutions* Well-organized and detail-oriented* Able to deal with ambiguity and a changing environment* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Strong quantitative skills* Highly curious* Experience creating PowerPoint presentations* Intermediate Excel skills (working knowledge with pivot tables and v-lookups)* Bachelor''s Degree required* Ability to perform work onsite in the San Francisco office pending state, local, and Company return-to-work guidance during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.We believe in People FirstWe firmly believe that working in a culture focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion spurs innovation, creates healthy and high-performing teams, and delivers superior customer experiences.
