And because you know your customers and their typical freight load, you''ll never be surprised or slowed down by unusual shipments.* CDL-A is not required as the switcher will not leave the property. *As a Dedicated Yard Switcher, you can expect: This is an entry level position, a CDL-A license is not required Competitive pay: Average $935 per week, $48,620 per year Start at $20 per hour Reaching top pay of $21.50 per hour within 12 months. Night shift positions top out at $23 Home daily, working 12-hour shifts All switcher positions operate on a rotating 4- and 3-day schedule, every other week. Meaning week 1, you are 4 days on / 3 days off. The next week, 3 days on / 4 days off. Group A - MORNING SHIFT: 6 a.m. start time. Week 1: M-Th. Week 2: M-W Group B - NIGHT SHIFT: 6 p.m. start time. Week 1: M - Th. Week 2: M - W Group C - MORNING SHIFT: 6 a.m. start time. Week 1: F - Su. Week 2: Th - Su Group D - NIGHT SHIFT: 6 p.m. start time. Week 1: F - Su.
