Zurich is seeking a Vendor Performance Manager to join the Vendor Management Team within Operations Services. This role will be a hybrid work environment and be based in our North American head-quarters in Schaumburg, this role you will manage the relationship between the Business Unit and vendors, directing activities to effective delivery of work product, and confirm that service levels and contractual obligations are in alignment with business needs and expectations.Key Accountabilities:* Lead a team of Supplier Process Specialists and manage their performance, development, and coaching.* Participate in strategic planning for vendor management function by assisting in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of strategies designed to manage costs and improve customer service associated with vendor services.* Ensure delivery of service level agreements by auditing and tracking vendor performance results over all service orders.* Develop and implement metrics to ensure performance against agreed service levels.* Provide stakeholder updates on vendor management results through reporting on the key metrics.* Participate in vendor performance reviews and meetings with new and/or potential vendors.* Drive continuous improvement in customer experience and cost savings.* Ensure vendor business continuity plans meet or exceed company standards and perform periodic tests of the plans* Ensures vendors are in compliance with all contractual obligations* Works across multiple functions to manage outsourced functions in alignment with process owner expectations* Conducts regular status meetings with business partners and vendors to align on performance results and discuss emerging business needsBusiness Accountabilities:* Develop and manage ongoing relationships with key stakeholders.* Analyze and present management reporting to senior managers to deliver transparency of vendor performance against business goals, directing necessary actions for improvement.* Engage, influence, and collaborate with vendors to secure optimal outcomes for the organization.* Translate business objectives into clearly defined business cases, costs or schedules which work for a local market to support achievement of Claims Vendor Management.* Lead the implementation of defined projects for to deliver defined objectives with allocated resources and timescales.* Contribute to the development of vendor management strategies and vendor contracts.Performance Management Accountabilities* Manage and coach a team of employees to set goals and achieve results.* Provide regular, actionable coaching and feedback to employees to review progress, recognize accomplishments, support development and/or improve performance.* Manage performance of team members, including ensuring team members comply with company policies and expectations and take appropriate action.* Establish objectives and set priorities for direct reports.* Assess performance of direct reports at mid-year and year-end and ensure direct reports have meaningful on-boarding, individual development plans (IDPs) and development actions.Required Qualifications:* Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Customer Service or Insurance or Vendor Management areaOR* High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Customer Service or Insurance or Vendor Management areaAND* Experience with Microsoft Office* Negotiation experience* Must have experience collaborating across work groups* Travel 0-20%Preferred:* Strong verbal and written communication skills* Project management skills* People management and stakeholder management experienceAs a condition of employment at Zurich, employees must adhere to our COVID-related health and safety protocols (including, without limitation, a requirement that employees attest as to their vaccination status with a YES/NO, and upload proof of vaccination status, or a negative COVID test result when applicable, to a third-party vendor.
