Senior Systems Administrator with Security Clearance

JOB SUMMARY: This Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for leading and managing C2 and simulation support for a United States Marine Corps (USMC) customer in a high-paced garrison and deployed environment, to include planning, designing, documenting, installing, configuring, testing, operating, and maintaining various C2 systems, while also integrating with modeling and simulation during exercises, training events, and wargames. As an integral part of the MSTP program, this Senior Systems Administrator supports the full lifecycle of systems planning, acquisition, implementation, operations, enhancement, sustainment, and retirement of C2 systems, data, infrastructure, and security services. In addition, this Senior Systems Administrator is a section lead and must work closely with active-duty and other contractor Computer Information Systems (CIS) personnel, the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), Information Technical (IT) and various other stakeholders to ensure operational excellence and timely delivery of a multitude of services across the organization. JOB DUTIES, TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES: PRIMARY • Lead, supervise and manage various C2 systems and databases to include Global Command and Control System - Tactical COP Server (GCCS-TCS), Global Command and Control System- Joint (GCCS-J), Modernized Integrated Database (MIDB), Joint Tactical Common Operational Picture Workstation (JTCW), Command and Control Personal Computer (C2PC). • Lead and oversee other C2 Systems Administrators responsible for Theater Battle Management Core Systems (TBMCS), Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS), and Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS). • Integrate C2 Systems with the Joint, Live, Virtual and Constructive (JLVC) and Simulation-Stimulation (SIM-STIM) environment for MSTP exercises, training events, and wargames. • Create new and update current databases for the C2 and simulation systems for MSTP exercises, training events, and wargames. • Oversee the installation and configuration of C2 system hardware and software version updates to maintain concurrency between other C2 systems used by the Training Audience and MSTP during exercises, training events, and wargames. • Oversee the installation of patches and updates to C2 systems, ensuring compliance with password, other system security measures, and cybersecurity policy, and associated orders. • Oversee the maintenance and design of C2 systems network diagrams. • Oversee the configuration of network equipment and services to enable the event Local Area Network (LAN) and C2 systems to connect to the Wide Area Network (WAN). • Oversee the integration of C2 systems with the simulation networks and architecture to ensure all nodes are properly stimulating the Training Audience in compliance with exercise plans and the Exercise/Simulation Control Plan. • Oversee the manipulation of C2 systems in coordination with M&S personnel as directed by the Senior Controller during MSTP exercises, training events, and wargames. • Consolidate and submit comments on exercise issues and recommended corrections for inclusion into the exercise After Action Report (AAR). SECONDARY • Integrate and collaborate with M&S personnel during the installation, configuration, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the virtual and constructive simulation systems used most commonly by MSTP to include MAGTF Tactical Warfare Simulation System (MTWS); Joint Deployment Logistics Model (JDLM); and Air, Space and Cyberspace Constructive Environment - Information Operations Suite (ACE-IOS) • Integrate and collaborate with M&S personnel during the installation, configuration, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the virtual and constructive simulation systems used less commonly by MSTP to enhance exercises such as Joint Low Overhead Driver (JLOD); Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC); Low Overhead Training Simulation (LOTS); Joint Semi-Autom EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: • A minimum of 5 years of recent hands-on experience within Marine Corps or DoD agencies in C2 systems administration, architecture design, implementation, database development, and maintenance with emphasis on GCCS-TCS, GCCS-J, MIDB, JTCW, and C2PC. • In-depth working knowledge of TBMCS, JADOCS, and AFATDS is required. • Experience and familiarity with Modeling and Simulation (M&S) is desired. • Certifications in Linux, A+, Network+, VM Ware, and Security+ CE (Continuing Education). • Security+ required, Linux desired. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: • As a minimum, must possess an Active Security Clearance with a completed SSBI investigation that will qualify to be eligible for access to at least the Secret level and the ability to be read-in for NATO level access. • Must be eligible for a Top Secret clearance and potential read-in to Special Comparted Information (SCI). • Must possess or be able to possess a valid U.S. Passport due to potential OCONUS travel for up to four weeks at a time (or longer).
