Terran Orbital is currently seeking an IT Security Engineer and Analyst to join its team in Irvine, CA, Melbourne, FL or Boca Raton, FL. In this role, the IT Security Engineer and Analyst must have an excellent understanding of multiple technologies including infrastructures, boundary and perimeter topology architecture & designs, firewalls, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS, encryption & cryptography, and compliance requirements. The IT Security Engineer and Analyst is responsible for supporting Terran Orbital system security objectives following NIST Cybersecurity Framework and engaging with other team members to ensure adherence. This position will report to the IT Systems, Security and Compliance Lead is an incredible opportunity to help lead and support the outcome of a major commercial space capability and lead the implementation of an IT department in a great company. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of Terran Orbital Information SystemsIdentify and define system security requirementsSupport Terran Orbital System Security Plan and prepare standard operating proceduresPerform Risk Assessments for new and existing Information SystemsTroubleshoot security relevant issues or incidents across full environmentReview audit events for information systems and address events/incidentsIdentify and remediate vulnerabilities across full environmentEscalate and report threats, vulnerabilities and incidents rapidlyAnalyze and recommend security controls and procedures in acquisition, development, and change management lifecycle of information systemsEnsures all information system security-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individualsParticipate in internal / external security audits / inspectionsUtilize existing cloud and on-prem security tools and recommend improvementsSupports Terran Orbital IT system administrators and leadership on security mattersCollaborating and coordinating with other teams to establish security protocols across the organizationDaily/Weekly administrative tasks, reporting, and communication with the relevant departments in the organizationRequirementsAbility to obtain up to Top Secret/SCI clearanceExperience with NIST Cybersecurity FrameworkThorough understanding of NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, CMMC L3, and the ITAR/EARExperience with government accreditation requirementsExperience in evaluating, testing, certification and accreditation of classified or controlled unclassified informationExperience in Cloud Technologies for Security and Compliance (Azure and AWS)Experience with Security Best Practices with SaaS, IaaS and PaaSExperience with IDS/IPS, Enterprise Malware and other Cloud/OnPrem security technologiesExperience with analysis and evaluation of hardware and softwareAble to apply current computer security technologies and IA requirements to maintain system security postureResponsible for maintaining and enforcing approved security policies, standards and guidelinesExperience working directly with project developers and/or subject matter experts to create security documentationProficient with MS Word, PowerPoint and working knowledge of various software toolsExperience formatting, editing, proofreading, and quality assurance checks on documentsExperience in identifying compliance issues, documentation, and incident reportingDoD 8570 compliant IAM Level I certification, such as the CompTIA Security+ certification.
