As a key member of the Capital Markets Compliance team, the Compliance Risk Manager - Trading and Capital Markets will design, build, and perform oversight of Freddie Mac''s compliance with securities and derivatives obligations. This Manager will contribute to the implementation of Compliance''s risk management program framework. This position can be based out of our office in McLean, VA or New York City, NY. Our Impact: This team provides independent oversight of compliance with obligations related to securities and derivatives laws and regulations, and effectively challenges Freddie Mac''s Single Family, Multifamily, and Investments & Capital Markets divisions. Your Impact: Execute monitoring over the firm''s trading activities Identify possible noncompliance with laws and regulations Report on the results of Compliance trade surveillance and other oversight activities Collaborate with colleagues from Compliance, and from other Enterprise Risk Management departments, to identify inter-connected risks and advance the culture of risk management Influence business process owners and others in the first Line of Defense to mitigate capital markets compliance risks Qualifications: Bachelor''s Degree and 8-10 years or more of work experience in compliance or another risk management function Demonstrated subject matter expertise in capital markets activities (such as securitizations, mortgage-backed securities, and trading) or securities and derivatives-related laws and regulations J.D. or other graduate-level degree preferred Keys to Success in this Role: Keen attention to detail Self-motivated and focused on doing what is right for Freddie Mac Strong communication skills, including the ability to convey complex concepts in simple and easy to understand terms Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to optimally influence and partner with colleagues at various levels in the organization Current Freddie Mac employees please apply through the internal career site.
