At Steampunk you will design and develop solutions to high-impact, complex data problems, working with the best and data practitioners around. Our data exploitation approach is tightly integrated with Human-Centered Design and DevSecOps. Contributions * Designs, manages, and maintains highly complex databases - including relational, NoSQL, and Big Data Services. * Evaluates and optimizes database architecture, configuration, and access. * Resolves database performance and capacity issues. * Performs database recovery and backup. * Advises users on access to multiple databases and helps solve data confliction and usage. * Provides data modeling, integration, and big data use strategy. * Experience executing in an Agile, DevSecOps environment highly desired. * Experience in cloud (AWS, Azure, GCS) and open source database and system implementations required. * Must have an excellent mastery of SQL, stored procedures, PL/SQL, PL/pgSQL, etc. * Provides all aspects of database administration for PostreSQL, MySQL, RDS, Scripting experience using bash, Perl/Python, etc. hightly desired. Qualifications * 5+ years of experience with data analysis, data migration tools, data modelling, data integration, data warehousing, database design, and SQL database/coding. * 4+ years of experience with providing technical support in the research, experimentation, data analysis, and use of systems technology, including architecture and integration capabilities. * 3+ years of experience with recognizing and identifying potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion. * 2+ years of experience with the ability to manipulate unstructured data from different platforms. * Experience using Agile and DevSecOps methods and techniques desired * Experience with Cloud-based and open source database solution implementation preferred * Must have, or be eligible to obtain, Government security clearance minimally at the Public Trust level * Must meet U.S. residency requirements * A Bachelor''s Degree, or a combination of experience and education exceeding the degree/education requirements. * Educational background in Data Science is desirable.
