Grow your IT skills by operating core infrastructure components. Perform Linux and Windows troubleshooting and configuration, account management, software installation and system monitoring support for dynamic lab environments among other taskings. Interact and collaborate directly with IT system architects, engineers and administrators on designs and processes. Job Responsibilities The Senior OpenShift Administrator is responsible for monitoring, installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Red Hat OpenShift clusters. The Engineer will provide technical support, troubleshoot system and user issues and perform scripting/programming to ensure stable and efficient operation of OpenShift environment. The work will be in located in either our McLean, VA or Bedford, MA offices. Core Responsibilities: * Configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of OpenShift Clusters* Documentation of container compute designs and processes for enterprise operations* Expert-level Experience with Kubernetes networking & troubleshooting (DNS, load balancers, service IPs, node ports, etc.)* Proactively monitor and report performance and utilization of assigned technologies* Log management & monitoring using Splunk* Maintain and administer image management and security using Quay* Maintain development environments using Code-Ready Workspaces* Maintaining the health & optimal state for OpenShift clusters* Manages problem or escalated tickets and tasks and out of cycle requests from systems/software owners* Assist with developing tactical strategies, processes and procedures related to systems/application administration* Architecting OpenShift as needed to meet application requirements (compute, storage, networking, and operations)* Mid-level expertise with OpenShift, Dockers, Containers (Minimum 5+ years hands-on)* Experience with testing and deployment pipelines and DevOps - experience using Ansible, Gitlab-CI for CI/CD* Provide input into infrastructure architecture designs* Ability to script in BASH and Python at minimum* May participate in Disaster Recovery planning and exercises* Contributing member of infrastructure & architecture design team, working across organizations Required Qualifications: * Bachelor''s degree within IT field or equivalent related work experience* Extensive working knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes Platform.* Strong Linux background coding skills* Extensive experience implementing and administering/managing technical solutions* Experience with DevOps tools and practices, Agile methodology* At least 5 years of Systems Administration with Unix/Linux environments* At least 2 years of related work experience in OpenShift preferred Professional Qualifications: * Strong critical thinking and communication skills* Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities* Ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performance* Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment This requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s): None This requisition requires the hired candidate to have or obtain, within one year from the date of hire, the following clearance(s): Top Secret Subject to all federal and state laws, rules and regulations, MITRE requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
