Network Engineer - Senior with Security Clearance

Overview Intrepid Solutions has an opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer for a new contract. Our client is a geographically distributed, complex system of communication networks and networked software and service capabilities. This position will be sited at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. Responsibilities * Provides configuration and maintenance services while monitoring and maintaining the current infrastructure, improving system performance, and automating system administration. OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS: * This position supports a 24/7 NOC environment. Evening and weekend work may be required. TRAVEL: * Limited or minimal travel expected. Qualifications CLEARANCE: Active or Interim Secret clearance required. EDUCATION: * Bachelor''s of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline. * 4 years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor''s Degree, and 2 years of experience may be substituted for an Associate''s degree. CERTIFICATION(S): * DOD IAT Level II SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: * 8+ years of experience in the planning, design, development, implementation, and technical support of multi-platform, multi-system networks to encompass diagnosing network performance shortcomings and designing and implementing performance improvements. * Experience providing and implementing network infrastructures and must have experience developing, operating, and managing networks required to operate in a secure PKI, IPSEC, or VPN-enabled environment. * Demonstrated experience in network installation including high bandwidth data transfer. * Experience designing and configuring CANS/WANS/LANS/VLANS including experience designing and configuring classified networks. * Experience with protocols, network troubleshooting., and network visualization tools (e.g., Visio). Demonstrated experience leading teams on small to mid-size network engineering activities.
