Lead Cloud Engineer / Architect with Security Clearance

Overview Intrepid Solutions has an opportunity for a Lead Cloud Engineer / Architect for a new contract. Our client is a geographically distributed, complex system of communication networks and networked software and service capabilities. This position will be sited at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. Responsibilities * Provides in-depth knowledge of Information Retrieval: assisting the software development team in designing, developing and testing Cloud Information Retrieval. * Implements complex workflows that manage Cloud analytics and optimization. * Implements code that interacts with Cloud Distributed Coordination Frameworks. * Oversees software development tasks and ensures the work is completed in accordance with the constraints of the software development process being used on any particular-project. * Makes recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards to support all cloud development efforts and strategy. OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS: * This position operates on a standard 8-hour schedule, Monday - Friday* Evening and weekend work may be required during surge support periods. TRAVEL: * Limited or minimal travel expected. Qualifications CLEARANCE: Active or Interim Secret clearance required. EDUCATION: i * Bachelor''s of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline. * 4 years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor''s Degree, and 2 years of experience may be substituted for an Associate''s degree. CERTIFICATION(S): * DOD IAT Level II SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: * 10+ years software engineering, at least 6 years of which must be utilizing big-data cloud technologies and/or distributed computing. * Experience with Cloud and/or distributed Computing Information Retrieval (IR) strategy, design, and architectures. * Experience implementing code that interacts with Cloud Big Data databases, implementing code that interacts with implementation of a Cloud-hosted Distributed File System, implementing complex analytics, and Cloud Distributed Coordination Frameworks.
