As a Network Architect SME (Service Provider backbone; Enterprise level LAN/WAN & DWDM, Traffic Engineering), you''ll design and architect network systems for a federal healthcare enterprise''s 24/7/365 environment. You''ll provide strategic direction and technical solutions to ensure reliability, availability, performance, and security of the enterprise network infrastructure and services. This includes the designing, testing, evaluating, and implementing of networking (Data Center, LAN, WAN, internet, wireless, etc.), firewall, and security monitoring solutions. In addition, you will manage the existing infrastructure, ensuring the environment meets SLAs and federal policies. Us... This engagement is expected to provide network systems operations and maintenance (O&M) and infrastructure services in a 24/7 environment for a leading federal healthcare agency. Areas include server architecture design & maintenance, ensuring cyber security compliance protections, change management, and Unified Communication. You''ll join a team balancing process-driven IT operations and Lean engineering with an integrated culture of continuous improvement, coupled with innovation and high-quality support services. Skills & Requirements Requirements: * Support the development and maintenance of large federal enterprise network architecture outlining network topology, cyber security capabilities, communication technologies, cloud computing infrastructure, concepts of operations, standards, routing, and protocols. * Provide recommendations for the future state enterprise network architecture and planning to consider areas such as cybersecurity, network availability, scalability, operations, WAN/LAN, data centers, intranet, enterprise network management, routing, and other areas related to enterprise network performance and security. * Provide subject matter expertise in networking, routing, communications, industry standards, and enterprise network operations in enterprise network architecture working groups. * Review and analyze detailed network engineering designs and architecture recommendations providing technical feasibility, cost estimates/review, risks, concerns, design alternatives, and long term implications. * Serve as network engineering and architecture subject matter expert to support enterprise network architecture and assessment activities. * Experience using industry related technologies/tools such as Cisco, F5, Infobox, MS Server, NetScout, PaloAlto, RedHat, RedSeal, Science Logic One, ServiceNow, Splunk, StealthWatch, Tenable, Zen, etc. * Prepare presentations and network architecture diagrams and drawings as necessary for senior leadership audience and technical meetings. * Provide oversight and mentoring of the network engineering team. * Must be able to comply with Executive Order No 13991. Desired: * Experience supporting HHS or NIH preferred. Years of Experience: 10 years of experience in Network Services. Education: Bachelor''s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related discipline. Certification: Cisco CCIE certifications (both the written and practical); following specializations in order of importance: Routing and Switching, Service Provider, Data Center, and Wireless strongly preferred.
