Superior Truss & Penel: Assembler

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Employee is responsible for the assembly of metal truss panels, and wall panels. Must be able to assemble trusses and panels accurately for installation at job sites POSITION REQUIREMENTS Must be 18 years old Must be able to read a measurement Must be able to follow verbal and written directions Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. numerous times daily Must be able to stand, bend and squat for long periods of time Must be able to operate a screw gun in bent or squatting position Must be able to operate a cut-off saw Must be able to work overtime when needed Must be able to work without air conditioned temperature controls Must be able to provide valid SS number/be eligible to work in USA Must pass drug screen Must be able to perform all essential job duties with or without accommodation JOB DUTIES Get equipment/tools needed for job in tool room Get job instructions for each assignment from layout technician Truss assembly Assemble blocks for layout of the truss, following truss profile created by layout technician Retrieve pre-cut members Assemble trusses that have been pre-cut to specifications Use screw gun to assemble truss/panels Remove blocks Cut metal studs used to bundle trusses for shipment Bundles finished trusses together Use a cart to move bundled trusses to outside yard for shipping Keep work area clean and free of clutter Wall Panel assembly Assemble pre-cut wall panels to specifications created by layout technician Use screw gun to assemble panels Cut metal studs used to stabilize panels for shipment, using cut-off saw Install sheathing on panels Load panels on conveyor and help stand panels upright for shipping Keep work area clean and free of clutter Retrieve empty carts from yard, to have for use in work area.
