Job Description

The Client Financial Analyst position is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual who is looking to grow with a progressive team at one of the top global communications firms. Day to day you will act as a business partner with the client teams on financial matters. At Edelman, we are in relentless pursuit of an equitable, impactful, respectful, and culturally curious workplace that drives innovative thinking, cultivates diverse ideas, and promotes true collaboration among our employees and our partners.Responsibilities:* Responsibilities include facilitation of billing process, financial analysis, and reporting for individual projects.* Upload client budgets in financial system.* Partner with Project Manager to prepare client budgets in line with statements of work.* Proficiency in project profitability drivers and fluency with Edelman''s client budgeting tool.* Assist account teams with monthly project budget to actual tracking and other required client reporting.* Coordinate data collection for client audits.* Maintain catalog of required client reporting and ensure timely completion.* Review monthly fee and expense details - pull back up as needed and ensure proper coding of expenses.* Assist with development of internal budgets, forecasts and projections.* Review and approve revenue allocations (with oversight).* Calculate and project monthly revenues based on active contracts and client billings.* Facilitate monthly billing - liaison between account staff and billing department and review billing reports.* Review/approve write-off''s of project transactions.* Assist project managers with project transaction review.* Review outstanding receivables and work with staff to secure payment.* Distribute aged receivables reports to management; assist in collecting commentary and liaison with Accounts Receivable.* Review project request forms for compliance and upload into PeopleSoft.* Process purchase orders upon request.* Run financial queries upon staff request.* Provide time and expense details to Project Managers as incurred on project(s).* Review missing time reports weekly and follow up on delinquencies.* Prepare and/or review staff utilization reports and flag issues for management.* Contribute to performance appraisal process for peers and managers.Basic Qualifications:* Bachelor''s degree in FIN or ACC.* 3+ years of FIN or ACC experience.* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Preferred Qualifications:* Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.* Client service oriented and fosters positive working relationships.* Well organized with strong time management skills and attention to detail, follows through on multiple projects in a fast paced environment.* Strong financial analysis skills.* Ability to articulate financial concepts in layman''s terms.* Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Edelman''s values, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.* Leads by example, demonstrate proven strong work ethic.* Demonstrates effective supervisory and effective task delegation abilities by setting clear expectations and deadlines, providing needed resources, monitoring progress and providing feedback.* Manages up, across, and down.* Shows commitment to continuous learning and improvement of technical and leadership skills.* Take responsibility for personal growth and development using available resources such as Edelman Learning Institute, on-the-job training and mentoring.LI-RT9LI-HybridEdelman is a global communications firm that partners with businesses and organizations to evolve, promote and protect their brands and reputations.
