Mayvin is currently seeking a Acquisitions Management Analyst Journeyman to provide support for Department Homeland Security Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction. This support includes the assistance required by the federal staff to effectively administer and manage programs and projects as well as to contribute to scientific and engineering assessments of existing and evolving counter-WMD technologies. Must be a US Citizen to be considered for this position. Must have an active Secret security clearance Responsibilities: * Provide expert advice on innovative acquisition approaches intended to streamline CWMDs acquisition processes and increase the speed of delivery of capability in the hands of our operational partners that meet mission need * Develop various briefings and documents necessary to inform CWMD and/or DHS Component leadership regarding the status of various acquisition programs related to cost, schedule and performance * Develop training plans and training materials necessary to train field users in the proper use of systems deployed by the acquisition division * Develop acquisition program baseline documents (e.g., Acquisition Plan, Work Breakdown Schedule, and Integrated Master Schedule) to set program baselines for cost, schedule and performance * Assist with developing Requests for Information (RFIs) * Analyze the information from an RFI to develop a Market Research Report * Conduct Privacy Threshold Analysis (PTA) and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) for acquisition of systems * Develop program strategies for the acquisition of systems and document those strategies (e.g., Program Management Plan (PMP)) * Conduct a 508 analysis to determine accessibility for people with disabilities for acquisition of systems * Identify and document lessons learned from the acquisition of systems * Identify scope of acquisition programs and all roles and responsibilities necessary to field systems and document in a program charter * Assist in tech transfers/transitions from the Research and Development Division to a fielded system through an acquisition * Support the development of life cycle cost evaluations (LCCE) for systems needed for acquisition programs * Assist in the development of fiscal year Congressional Justification (CJ) documents in support of the Presidents FY budget for CWMDs BFO Qualifications: * Must have BA/BS with 5 years of experience in related field or a MA/MS with 2-8 years of experience in related field * Must be able to preform all functional duties independently * Experience supporting major programs or system development efforts related to human, animal, or plant health and medical consequences of CBRN events or a combination of experience in these areas and the HS pillars of prevention, protection, response, or recovery About Us: Mayvin was created in 2008 by a group of former government, military, and civilian employees dedicated to protecting the interests of the United States.
