AWS Full Stack Sr. Software Engineer needed for a long-term contract opportunity with SOC''s client to work in Richardson, Texas. An active and in-scope Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. security clearance is required for this position! Responsibilities Our client is looking for a candidate to join their world-class engineering team as an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Full Stack Sr Software Engineer II for both Infrastructure and Application Development activities within a cloud-based environment. As a candidate for this opportunity, you should have a good foundation in Java and extensive experience working in a LINUX or UNIX environment. The candidate should have a demonstrable understanding of software principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering (including software development lifecycle and software development process), design patterns and Object-Oriented analysis, design, and programming. The candidate must also demonstrate critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a team environment using agile development principles. Qualifications • Experience developing troubleshooting applications and infrastructure for complex software solutions in Java on a LINUX or UNIX environments • Experience performing Full Stack Development, including Infrastructure as Code • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Technologies o Including the use of Infrastructure related AWS Services and related technologies such as Terraform/Ansible o Including the integration and use of AWS services with custom developed applications • Experience and understanding of Agile/SAFe execution methods • Experience developing, testing, and delivering applications within a DevSecOps framework Including o Use of Helm and Containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) o Experience with building associated automated unit and smoke tests for developed code o Experience with Agile and DevSecOps toolsets (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Jenkins, Cucumber, etc.) • Development with database experience (e.g., JDBC, Postgres, MongoDB) • Experience using a Software Development IDE (e.g., Eclipse or IntelliJ) • Effective verbal and written communication Desired Qualifications • Security+ Certification • Experience with RESTful services • Development, inspection, and manipulation of XML, XSDs and WSDLs • Experience using SOAP-based web services (interface definition, implementation, WS-Security) • Experience using scripting languages such as JavaScript, Ruby or Python and familiarity with a JavaScript framework such as DOJO, AngularJS, jQuery, or Backbone.js • Experience with Spring/Springboot • Experience using continuous integration tools such as Hudson/Jenkins or Cruise Control • Experience as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Release Train Engineer (RTE SAFe) • COTS Integration experience • Shell Scripting for Linux based systems • Elastic Tool Suite • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) • Completed Polygraph Preferred Education Requirements • 4 years of relevant experience with a BS degree (typically in STEM focused discipline - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics); or • 2 years of relevant experience with a MS degree (typically in STEM focused discipline - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) Employment Pre-requisites The following requirements must be met to be eligible for this position: successful completion of a background investigation, drug urinalysis, and verified compliance with Executive Order 14042, Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors.
