We are seeking an individual for a position of Test Engineer & Liaison in the communications arena. Position entails supporting our customer''s Government Furnished test equipment to industry and government users. Customer is MIT Lincoln Laboratory (MIT LL). As a representative of MIT LL, you will coordinate all activities and issues related to the MIT LL equipment at the Field Site. Part of tasking will entail supporting technical exchange meetings, test planning, procedure reviews, and providing technical reports to management and our MIT LL customer. This position requires the candidate to already have a DoD TOP SECRET clearance. The Test Engineer & Liaison would be the primary MIT LL point of contact with the field site for a variety of functions. They would require basic knowledge (to be acquired on the job) about the MIT LL systems/subsystems that are being tested at the field site. The Test Engineer & Liaison would have daily interaction with field site personnel, to ensure maximally efficient inter-organizational exchange of knowledge and information as needed. Responsibilities * Daily interaction with field site personnel (remote or face-to-face) to establish the daily needs* Coordinating with MIT LL SMEs to support and resolve field site issues* Maintaining a daily log/understanding of relevant activities relating to the field site* Reporting to MIT LL leadership the overall status of activities on a weekly basis* Regular travel to the field site (1-2 trips/mth.) to maintain good lines of communication and deep understanding of needs* Basic knowledge of all MIT LL systems at field site and how to reach out to various SMEs* Scheduling of resources needed to support critical test events* General property management of MIT LL equipment (both at site and local)* Monitoring of maintenance activities* General awareness of dedicated IT systems/issues, including understanding of System Security Plan (SSP) and working with the Cyber Security team* Creating, updating and enhancing MIT LL documentation in support of field siteRequired Skills: * Good communications skills: willingness to listen to the needs of engineers and field site personnel; the ability to articulate issues to engineers in multiple disciplines; and an ability to coordinate across organizational boundaries. Candidate must be eager to learn new systems, tools, and processes to support the field site needs.* Good organizational skills: demonstrated ability to quickly understand the full breadth of complex prototype systems; ability to accurately document various on-going activities.* Ability to understand, generate and maintain technical documentation and procedures.* Willing and able to travel (up to 50%, typically CONUS).* Outgoing and energetic with the ability to work within a team environment.Preferred Skills: * System-level integration of software components to test and validate system performance* Writing and executing detailed test plans/procedures* Familiarity with Linux and shell scriptsRequired Experience: * BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field or additional work experience in lieu of degree* 5 years relevant work experience* Active TOP SECRET clearancePreferred Experience: * 10 years relevant work experience* Experience with communication systemsCOVID-19 Compliance Guidelines: As a federal contractor, all LinQuest team members may be required to comply with Executive Order 14042- Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, which may include mandatory vaccination and ability to provide proof of vaccination status prior to start of employment.
