As directed by Executive Order 14042: Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, effective December 8, 2021, Lockheed Martin will require all newly hired employees, in the United States, must be fully vaccinated before their start date.Description:IAM Hourly represented employees who currently work at the main (Sunnyvale/Palo Alto) unit, Santa Cruz, VAFB or Eastern Range facilities must apply to open requisitions on Brass Ring to be considered for the position. Work Performed: Perform the following typical assignments in the field of antenna system assembly and checkout, with limited technical direction, working from test plans or test procedures, utilizing a knowledge of antenna assembly processes coupled with a knowledge of electromagnetic components and materials. Plan methods and sequences for antenna assembly, including the development and fabrication of assembly aids. Evaluate methods and sequences for performance limits, interfacing with engineering to implement improvements where applicable. Working from engineering drawings, procedures, and operation orders, using precision measurement devices, verify physical dimensions and tolerances of RF materials, etched antenna elements, and transmission lines, before and during assembly processes. Set up and perform pre and post assembly VSWR measurements of components and assembled units, verifying conformance to engineering specifications. Preceding and during electromagnetic characterization of antennas in Antenna Ranges, perform installation, mechanical alignments, and modifications to meet antenna test configuration requirements.Basic Qualifications:Candidate will be deployed to an area that supports classified manufacturing work so candidate must be able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance. ******************************** Knowledge and Ability Required: Knowledge of antenna assembly equipment and techniques with an understanding of electromagnetic terminology and materials. Elementary knowledge of Antenna Range alignment equipment, including bore-sight lasers, clinometers, theodolites, and Antenna Range positioning equipment. Requires solder certification to flight qualified specifications and the ability to receive and maintain all additionally required certifications, to include, but not limited to safety certifications. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams, schematics, assembly methods and procedures. Must have a minimum of 3 years'' experience working directly with antennas, antenna range equipment and antenna systems assembly. Must possess a valid State of California Class C driver''s license to operate company vehicles. May be required to possess or obtain LMSSC - issued safety licenses required by law to operate material handling equipment, Personal Aerial Lifting Devices and vehicles normally used by employees in this classification.Desired Skills:Experience with Antenna products, designs, and processes. Current certifications for J-Std Solder, Adhesive Bonding, Cable/Harness, Mate/Demate, Torque, ESD, FOE/FOD. Experience with use of ERP/SAP(QNotes, ZMTE, ZAPL) and VECAMS production order navigation and buyoff. Experience with using Weapon Specs, MAP specs, MPS and MPI process documents for Electronics. Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications, and the use of computer resources to access specifications, engineering, and communicate effectively with others with minimal assistance.
