As a controls engineer, you understand the power behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to designing and developing autonomous vehicle systems. We''re looking for a controls engineer who can use their skills to prototype and implement hardware and software on Navy unmanned vehicles. Our team performs the critical engineering functions for Navy unmanned vehicles. That''s why we need you, a controls engineer with experience in trajectory control and planning, developing autonomous vehicle navigation systems, and developing supporting software products to help us design and develop unmanned vehicles. You''ll perform hands-on engineering and testing of the vehicles, including performing at-sea testing. You''ll directly impact the Navy by performing the critical engineering functions to support unmanned vehicle missions. We''ll look to you to share your electrical engineering expertise through leadership and mentoring junior staff. This is a chance to use your experience-based knowledge in sensors, navigation systems, and programming while broadening your skillset into areas like systems engineering and cybersecurity. You Have: * Experience with performing engineering services for autonomous vehicles * Experience with trajectory control and planning for autonomous vehicles * Experience with navigation systems for autonomous vehicles * Experience with developing engineering technical artifacts for complex systems * Experience with programming in a modern language * Ability to prototype and implement controllers on physical systems * Ability to obtain a security clearance * Bachelor''s degree in an Engineering field Nice If You Have: * 4+ years of experience designing and testing autonomous vehicles * 4+ years of experience with trajectory control and planning for autonomous vehicles * 3+ years of experience developing control systems for unmanned vehicles * Experience with inertial navigation systems and GPS * Experience implementing controllers with the Robot Operating Systems (ROS) Framework * 4+ years of experience with programming in Java, C++, or C * Secret clearance * Master''s degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
