Overview i3 is seeking a candidate to provide oversight and support to Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) projects for U.S. Army customers. This position is located in Huntsville, AL. Leads development teams responsible for using MBSE tools and techniques to support requirements development, system design, interface development and the development of behavioral, structural and parametric models for selected systems. Develops and maintains models using modeling languages such as Unified Modeling Language (UML), Systems Modeling Language (SysML), Unified Profile for DoDAF/MODAF (UPDM). Develops system models and creates representations using data architectures and data models to facilitate interoperability. Implements and manages system architectures in the MBSE environment. Supports the development of system integration plans, procedures and scenarios used in the conduct of software and hardware system integration testing, and performs analysis of integration results to assess system impacts. Utilizes strong written, communication, and presentation skills, and works effectively in a team environment. Reviews system engineering documentation to ensure specifications meet system needs and are accurate. Participates in the development of trade studies to support the selection preferred design solutions and course of action alternatives in project development/product delivery. Participates in project/program technical risk analysis and mitigation. Analyzes and evaluates systems using MBSE artifacts. Participates in system requirements reviews and creates/updates requirements specifications and technical documentation. Qualifications Required: * ABET accredited BS in engineering. Additional experience may substitute.* Minimum of 3 years of systems engineering experience preferred* Experience with various model based system engineering tools - Cameo, Magic Draw, Rhapsod* Knowledge of system architecture development and the systems engineering process* Understanding of system interface requirements and interface management* At least 2 years of experience with the at least one of the following modeling languages: Unified Modeling Language (UML), Systems Modeling Language (SysML), Unified Profile for DoDAF/MODAF (UPDM) preferred* Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance* U.S. Citizenship is requiredDesired: * Formal systems engineering training* Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Velocity.* Experience supporting DoD programs is preferred.* Experience working in an Agile environment About i3 Headquartered in Huntsville, AL, i3 is a national leader in providing innovative technical and engineering solutions to a broad customer base across the U.S. DoD.
