It supports automated feature extraction, physical and activity models, and position, navigation, and timing (PNT) resilience. A successful candidate should be a leader and problem solver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a high performing team in a high-profile, fast-paced environment. Role and Responsibilities: * Support the creation of always accurate, high resolution, continually updated representations of the earth''s properties, available on demand* Support automated feature extraction, physical and activity models, and position, navigation, and timing (PNT) resilience Qualifications Required skills: * Experience in transitioning R&D prototype systems, components, processes, techniques, or software to operational environments* Experience in test & evaluation and independent verification and validation of technologies prior to adoption* Knowledge of NGA processes and procedures that impact technology adoption* Prior experience collecting stakeholder requirements and providing technical reporting of performance metrics and milestonesEducation Minimum Requirements: * 15 years of experience and a PhD degree in Astronomy, Astro-Biology, Astro-physics, Astronautics, Aerospace Engineering, Astrodynamics, Aerodynamics, Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Geology, Geological Sciences, Hydrodynamics, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Science, Meteorology, Nuclear Engineering, Oceanography, Orbital Mechanics, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Physiology, Political Science, Quantum Engineering, Quantum Physics, Thermodynamics, Volcanology, or related disciplines* OR in place of a PhD, an MA/MS degree in Astronomy, Astro-Biology, Astro-physics, Astronautics, Aerospace Engineering, Astrodynamics, Aerodynamics, Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Geology, Geological Sciences, Hydrodynamics, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Science, Meteorology, Nuclear Engineering, Oceanography, Orbital Mechanics, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Physiology, Political Science, Quantum Engineering, Quantum Physics, Thermodynamics, Volcanology, or related disciplines and 18 years of experience* OR a BA/BS degree in Astronomy, Astro-Biology, Astro-physics, Astronautics, Aerospace Engineering, Astrodynamics, Aerodynamics, Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Geology, Geological Sciences, Hydrodynamics, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Science, Meteorology, Nuclear Engineering, Oceanography, Orbital Mechanics, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Physiology, Political Science, Quantum Engineering, Quantum Physics, Thermodynamics, Volcanology, or related disciplines and 20 years of experience and be recognized within a discipline relevant to the work associated with the position. * Types of recognition include Federal, national, or internationally recognized professional organization or academia, and/or relevant publications in reputable mediumClearance: * You must possess a current Top-Secret Personnel Security Clearance and be eligible for favorable NGA adjudication for SCI access* You may also be subject to a Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph, as requested by the GovernmentLocation/Travel Requirements: * You may be required to travel from St. Louis to other NGA locations, other US Government locations, and Contractor facilities, as well as NGA partner sites worldwide in support of NGA activitiesLI-JW1 MTSIjobs mtsi
