Job SummaryAECOM Tishman is seeking an MEP Assistant Project Manager to support multiple sites in Brooklyn & Queens for our large technical client.Job Description:Under moderate supervision assists the Project Management team with management administration on a moderate size and scope project, or a portion of a large size and scope project, following set guidelines for completion of tasks.Employee receives moderate to limited supervision working from objectives set by supervisor. Employee organizes and carries out most assignments in accordance with standard practices, instructions, or previous training. Employee handles some unusual situations independently.May interact with Superintendents to address project questions/issues.Assists with and monitors change ordersMay assist with regulatory compliance and financial reportingReview project costs and scheduling to ensure completion of project within budget and in conformance with contract.Work with document control systems, project management systems and other software or databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurateAttend meetings and report on project tasks as neededMay provide technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies.At AECOM, were delivering a better world.We believe infrastructure creates opportunity for everyone. We employ a diversified preconstruction and construction management staff of structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers; architects; technology specialists; scheduling and cost control personnel; and construction estimators and accountants. We provide expert consultation and guidance in all phases of a building project, from master-planning, preconstruction options evaluation and decision-making, to design review, estimating, and scheduling, through procurement, construction and occupancy. AECOM Tishmans staff manages all consultants and contractors on a project, representing client interests throughout the project cycle. In total, AECOM Tishman has built more than 900 million square feet including the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, One World Trade Center in New York.RequirementsMinimum Requirements :BA/BS plus 2 years of relevant experience in interiors commercial construction (Mechanical or MEP related) or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.Preferred QualificationsPreferred :Desire to work and learn in an MEP environment (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing).2-4 years of experience in interiors construction, renovation and retrofitting in commercial construction.Mechanical experience and MEP highly preferred.Prior experience in submittals, meeting minutes, project scope and scheduling.Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)Ability to interact with many tiers of management on an active construction site.Experience with construction documentation and nomenclature.Ability to work independently.Ability to travel to various sites in NYC (Brooklyn/Queens).Additional Information:This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.This position does not include relocation benefits.Position will travel between various sites, via public transportation.
