Description Description Amazon Payment Products seeks a Principal Product Manager to develop and lead a roadmap for new products, including identifying and validating customer needs, exploring new business partnerships, developing product requirements, and launching & operating programs with cross-functional teams. This person would oversee building new programs, from the ground up, in a start-up environment, and would ultimately be responsible for product launches, operating performance, partner relationships, and profitability. They will collaborate closely with engineering, finance, legal, business development, public policy and compliance teams, to assess, build, and operate these programs for customers.This key role will be highly visible to Amazon leadership, as the Principal Product Manager would influence senior leadership for numerous high-judgment decisions. The role requires ownership, backbone with internal & external stakeholders, and the ability to assess trade-offs and make high-judgement decisions in ambiguous and complex situations. We are seeking a mature, analytical, and strategic thinker who thinks big and is passionate about Amazon''s Customer Obsession. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex problems, works effectively with cross-functional internal and external teams and excels in logical structuring and written and verbal communication.Basic Qualifications • 10+ years of experience in product management, or relevant work in program management / management consulting• Superior written and verbal communications skills• Proven ability to distill complex, ambiguous information with clear, analytical frameworks to drive decisions that consider long-term benefits and near-term results• Ability to work in a highly ambiguous and rapidly changing environment, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and pitch in wherever necessary• Proven ability to grow and scale a team to meet growing customer product/technical needs• Undergraduate degree in any field, with proven analytical acumenPreferred Qualifications • MBA or other advanced degree preferred• Experience launching and operating products in the financial services/payments field• Proficient with e-commerce and online technologies • Attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously• Passion for big challenges and a good sense of humorAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
