Quality Test Technician8918 Beckett Rd., West Chester, OH 45069SSSUPFull-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pmOVERVIEW:Working as Full-time Quality Test Technician, you will test and create reports on the quality of Fastenal Managed Inventory (FMI) technology products. You will interpret the quality standards, engineering diagrams and specifications for the products, then execute tests according to those instructions. You will compile data and reports for engineers and other stakeholders to communicate the quality of FMI solutions.RESPONSIBILITIES:The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:o Analyzing and repairing field and service center returnso Verifying the accuracy and completeness of all tests performed related to the test plan, result data, requestor acceptance and sample dispositionso Building prototypes and assemblies to support product design and electrical engineeringo Performing inspections and testing of components and final assemblies in accordance with established departmental and company processeso Reading blueprints, schematics, diagrams and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assemblyo Traveling as the position requireso Completing other tasks and responsibilities based on business needsREQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:o Possess a current full valid driver''s license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as neededo Possess experience in quality or engineeringo Excellent written and oral communication skillso Proficient using Microsoft Office Suiteo Highly motivated, self directed and customer service orientedo Demonstrate strong problem solving and deductive reasoning skillso Demonstrate strong organizational, planning and prioritizing abilitieso Willingness to travel, with some overnights requiredo Work independently as well as in a team environmento Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)ABOUT US:Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with approximately 3,200 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
