Description Senior Logistics Analyst- Metrology & Calibration Norfolk, VA Responsibilities: * Perform tasks related to the developing, operating, evaluating, and improving Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) equipment supportability and maintainability programs. * Assists with processes involving Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) for program. * Review, analyze, develop, prepare or apply engineering, technical or maintenance specifications, policies, standards, or procedures. -Support resolution of METCAL, TMDE, and SISCAL technical issues. * Revises or develops Navy calibration directives and training curriculum. The candidate should be familiar with: * Assisting with METCAL, SISCAL and TMDE in management of METCAL execution and Policy maintenance across the NAVSEA enterprise. * Participating in quarterly Test and Monitoring Systems (TAMS) Executive Board meetings and associated working groups and standing committees to provide continuity in METCAL technical support to help ensure efficient and effective processes are in place for managing NAVSEA TAMS across the enterprise for Test Requirements analysis and related TMDE, GPETE, Calibration Standards, Primary Standards and National and International Standards life cycle management. * Conducting METCAL, SISCAL, TMDE, GPETE and other SMIP calibration Business Processes, Process Reengineering, Business Case Analysis, or other similar analyses to trend and provide a basis for recommended improvements to Navy METCAL maintenance processes, organizations planning tools, and information systems. * Assisting in the evaluation and implementation of improved SMIP METCAL, SISCAL, TMDE, GPETE and other SMIP calibration processes, procedures, organizations, and support tools related to reduction of Total Ownership Cost and realization of program efficiencies. * Providing technical support to assist with the management and development of standards, strategies and maintenance for advanced measurement centric hardware and software requirements for shipboard and ashore NAVSEA test, diagnostic and measurement equipment requirements. Required Qualifications * Twenty (20) years of experience assisting with the executing, management and supervision of all elements of a major DoD Metrology and Calibration Program and METCAL Processes (five (5) years'' experience specific to the Shipboard Installed Instrumentation and Machinery Control Systems Calibration Program (SISCAL)). * US Citizen with Secret Security Clearance Desired Qualifications * Five (5) years of experience assisting with the management, development, and review of METCAL, TMDE and SISCAL Training Curriculum management processes, Human Performance Requirements Review participation, Course Content Module management functional management and NA VSEA/DoD training policies interpretation, execution, and implementation. * Five (5) years working with NETC, SLC, SWOS, FLTMPS, CANTRAC and Navy Training Systems policy across the entire continuum of Navy Training. * Bachelor degree (BS) in a field of Science or Engineering or a minimum of fifteen (15) years of in-depth experience and specialized knowledge in a related field ORBIS offers an excellent benefits package and competitive salary in a professional atmosphere.
