RN for Advocate Clinic at Walgreens (Westmont)

CLINIC HOURS: 9a-7p (Mon-Fri) 9a-4p (Weekends) Part Time (32 hrs/week) Retail Clinic RN position This position is eligible for a $2500.00 sign on bonus for external hires only Be at the forefront of using cutting-edge technology to offer virtual services in an innovative retail clinic inside Walgreens! Opportunity to combine your clinical RN experience with new age technology to care for patients in a new and different way Serve patients in the neighborhoods and communities in which they live! Major Responsibilities: Must be able to autonomously triage, assess and facilitate care for patients 12 months and over by connecting them with an Advance Practice Clinician rendering care remotely via a virtual platform Complete POC testing, administer vaccinations and execute on other routine orders under the direction of the APC Evaluate and make recommendations to improve the workflows and processes established for virtual care delivery Actively contribute to process improvement strategies related to patient experience, patient outcomes, safety, quality metrics, organizational referrals etc Provides basic instruction for patient regarding routine procedures, treatments or disease processes. Facilitate waiting room management, registration, and patient rooming processes independently Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers, APCs, store management and ACW leadership in delivery of patient care Uphold standards for a safe, professional, and organized clinic environment Assures quality of care through development, implementation, and evaluation of professional nursing standards. Participates in quality assurance activities. Must be available to work rotating weekends Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) preferred Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices. Education Required: Associate Degree in Nursing. Experience Required: Requires 1+ year(s) of experience in clinical nursing Leadership experience a plus Ability to work independently Able to troubleshoot and problem solve Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills; ability to develop rapport and maintain positive, professional relationships with a variety of patients, staff and clinicians. Demonstrated ability to effectively make critical, independent decisions. Excellent organization, prioritization and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated leadership skills including delegation, organization, prioritization and building team rapport. Proficient computer skills including keyboarding, navigation within a windows operating system, use of electronic mail and electronic medical records systems. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Travel between sites of care- may be requested to work at nearby Advocate Clinic at Walgreens retail clinics Flexible hours Work under conditions requiring quick decision-making in a fast-paced environment The candidate must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting patients and moving equipment. Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine-hand manipulation skills. Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
