ResponsibilitiesThe Lead Business Analyst for Technology Sourcing and Vendor Management serves as a lead purchasing specialist. They are responsible for the acquisition of Information Technology and the management of contracts and agreements related to hardware and software for FM Global.They lead the collection, evaluation, understanding, and communication of business requirements involved in such acquisitions. In addition, manage significant projects associated with procurement and vendor management efforts. This position focuses on the content of contracts, financials, and negotiations associated with the acquisition and renewal of IT assets and maintenance contracts. This role is also responsible for supporting and enhancing internal purchasing processes, as well as helping to establish a new vendor management process. Additionally, they mentor and provide guidance to more junior and less experienced members of the group. This role works within the Strategy and Business Enablement organization, and other business units, to help identify appropriate levels of support and maintenance for FM Global''s Information Technology platforms. Additionally, leads negotiations with vendors to obtain favorable contractual terms and acceptable levels of service. They work with Finance, Information Security and Legal to ensure appropriateness and all procurement decisions. The individual in this role supports IT and Product leaders in efforts to identify, source, and acquire information technology assets, supplies, and services. These will meet specified needs and conform to FM Global''s IT architecture standards. They also work with these leaders to provide information and recommendations relative to IT expenditures for budgeting purposes, as well as approved standards for the equipment, software, services, and appropriate vendor sources. They work with appropriate technical groups to provide input relative to procurement in the establishment of technology standards. They strategically handle purchase and renewal activities associated with large scale contracts. These typically vary in size/scope, could be hundreds of thousands into the millions of dollars. This role will help to identify and implement improvements to the procurement process, and also to define and implement a new vendor management program and associated processes. This includes, but is not limited to, reviewing KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and SLAs (Service Level Agreements) with current suppliers, creating vendor scorecards, collecting feedback from internal stakeholders on 3rd party performance, and running business reviews with the preferred supplier base and creates the corresponding portfolio documents which will be reviewed during those meetings. Qualifications3+ years of experience of contract review, negotiation and end to end strategic sourcing. Demonstrable ability to multi-task and establish priorities. Solid interpersonal, oral/written communication and organizational skills. Able to provide direction to others and influence decisions made. Education Bachelor''s degree in related in accounting, finance, business, computer science and/or technology preferred!
