If you are interested in helping organizations effectively managefinancial risks, then our team would be a great fit for you!Work you''ll doAs a Manager in our Accounting & Internal Controls business you will:Lead grants management efforts using fiscal and financial reporting knowledgeTrack funding streams, manage streams and expenditure, manage proposals and RFP initiativesLead and implement technical solutions to improve financial management activitiesManage or contribute to complex, quick turnaround deliverables in a program environmentManage senior-level client relationshipsDraft process documentation, presentations to client leadership, and meeting agendasPerform analysis and diagnosis of client financial control issues and gapsManage accounting and financial reporting operationsLead implementation elements including technical policy, internal controls, process enhancement, technology, and data abstractionAdvise our clients on technical accounting and internal controls mattersThe teamDeloitte''s Government and Public Services (GPS) practice - our people, ideas, technology and outcomes-is designed for impact. We develop solutions to data complexities tohelp our clients achieve optimal finance transformation and meet their digital controllership goals and objectives.QualificationsRequired:Bachelor''s Degree required in accounting, business, finance or another business-related field4+ years of Consulting experience in the following areas: business process improvement, financial management policies and procedures, or financial system integrations4+ years of financial reporting and fiscal experience preferably supporting grants managementProject or program management experiencePre-sales, proposal, and RFP experienceNeed an understanding of government financial reportingKnowledge of and experience improving government accounting and transaction process, internal control objectives and generally accepted accounting principlesKnowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley and/or GASB documentation, testing and reporting requirementsExperience presenting to clients or other decision makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)Ability to travel 40-50%, on average, based on work you do and the clients and the industries/sectors you serveMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the futurePreferred:Any public health or DEI awarenessExperience having previously worked for a Big Four firmExperience mentoring and coaching othersCertified Public Accountant (CPA) certificationMBAHow you''ll growAt Deloitte, our professional development plan focuses on helping people at every level of their career to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
