We value the uniqueness and diversity of our employees and recognize that nurturing the diverse perspectives and strengths of our people translates into innovative breakthroughs for patients.This is what you will do:The Associate Medical Director will support the Medical Director and Executive Director of US Medical Affairs in strategic planning, tactical execution, and leadership activities for Alexion''s Metabolic Therapeutic Area.Activities include but are not limited to content development, advisory boards, publications, congresses, thought leader development and scientific exchange, launch activities, medical education programs and evidence generation.You will be responsible for:Working with US Medical Director, Executive Director, and Regional Field Directors to plan and execute the annual US Medical Strategic and Tactical PlansManaging development of content and resources for scientific exchange, medical education programs, training, and congress activities aligned to US Medical strategyManaging congress strategy and execution Supporting Medical Advisory Boards and insight generation activities to inform ongoing strategic and tactical needs in evolving treatment landscapeAssisting US publication activities to support US strategy, in alignment with GlobalCollaborating with internal cross functional stakeholders, including but not limited to clinical development, commercial, and patient advocacy; as well as external stakeholder engagement, including building and maintaining KOL relationships Demonstrating effective team communication and collaboration, documentation of Medical Affairs activities through appropriate reporting systems, execution through appropriate processes, and budget and vendor managementYou will need to have:Minimum 4 years of Industry experience with 2+ years in Medical Affairs preferredRare disease experience preferred but not requiredDemonstrated ability to lead and support successful cross-functional teams in evolving competitive landscapeEstablished ability to liaise with KOLs and HCPs to innovate and challenge the status quo, while implementing Medical Affairs tools to improve patient care and outcomesProven critical thinking capabilities, analytical skills, proactive approach, and ability to develop effective medical strategyExcellent written and verbal communication and strong presentation skills requiredAdaptability and agility in a dynamic environment with proven ability to work on teams and independentlyPharmD, MD, DO or PhDThe duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment.
