Innovation Program ManagerThe Strategy and Transformation (S&T) team is looking for an Innovation Program Manager responsible for developing and implementing programs and initiatives that drive the success of our company strategy. The ideal candidate is deeply passionate about Innovation and has strong program/project management skills. From process improvements to transformative ideas, this candidate will help to foster a culture of innovation and bring ideas to life to improve the team member and customer experience. This is an opportunity for the right candidate to contribute to important strategic initiatives that create long-lasting impact for the organization.The Innovation Program Manager will report to the Senior Manager of Strategy and Transformation.What will you do?Shape and lead Advance Auto Part''s Innovation Garage programIdentify strategic areas of focus that require innovation in support of our Strategic Business PlanLeverage the latest innovation strategy research and best practices to continuously evolve our Innovation Garage programDeliver and use program reporting (statistics and insights) to continuously improve our Innovation Garage programPartner with innovation vendor(s) to deliver technical enhancements/updates to our Innovation Garage platformInfluence a network of innovation champions to develop our team members and advance our Innovation Garage program (ex. coaches, experts, judges etc.)Raise internal and external awareness of Advance Auto Part''s Innovation Garage programExecute global enterprise-wide innovation challenges on time and within budgetHost world-class innovation events, both in-person and virtual, advancing ideas and opportunities for growthDevelop and deliver a comprehensive awareness campaign to increase engagement with our Innovation Garage programManage Advance Auto Part''s Innovation Garage PipelineContribute to implementation plans of winning ideas, in collaboration with the business sponsor and various stakeholdersEnsure winning ideas are successfully delivered; provide visibility on implementation status & performance (financial/operational metrics and insights)Other program/project management responsibilities may be assigned at the manager''s discretion.What qualifications will make you successful?The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, abilities, experiences required for success in this role.Bachelor''s degree in Business; or equivalent combination of education and experienceForward-thinking with an ability drive generation and implementation of innovative strategies8 years of experience with 3+ years of experience in program or project management:Strong understanding of project management methodologies (ex. waterfall/agile) and tools (ex. Microsoft Project)Ability to create and maintain project/program plans as well as track deliverables against time, cost, qualityAbility to define project/program scope and objectives, as well as prioritize requirementsExperience managing budgets (forecasting and monitoring) and preparing various required financial reportsExperience with tracking project purchase orders/invoices and ensure compliance to internal procedures, contracts and finance/accounting policiesExperience in negotiating contracts and effective partnering with and managing 3rd party vendorsProject Management certification preferred (ex. PMP)Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills:Ability to interface effectively with internal and external stakeholders across varying organization levels and countriesAbility to develop organizational communications and scriptsAbility to generate insightful reporting/recommendations for executive audiencesStrong interpersonal skills:Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners to achieve business objectivesAbility to influence people of different backgrounds and styles to effectively resolve issues/ challenges and achieve business objectivesAbility to effectively drive collaboration across local, global and remote teamsTeam-oriented, reliable, self-motivated and delivers high quality of workStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to adapt to a fast-paced, continually-changing environment while managing multiple prioritiesStrong problem-solving and analytical abilities with attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, VisioSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position does not have supervisory responsibilities.LocationThis role is Hybrid based in Raleigh, North Carolina.Work EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
