Project Manager - Construction (Contracts)What we are looking for: Aldridge is seeking a Contracts Manager to join our dynamic and energetic team. This role will work collaboratively with the project team to ensure that the Project has a fully implemented Project Controls program that will manage all facets of the Contract requirements and related commercial documentation. The ideal candidate has a strong background in contract and change management.What youll do: Oversee essential project and divisional duties including but not limited to: Advise and consult with Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and Field Supervision on Contractual and Commercial Issues Ensure proper document control processes are employed on the Project. Preparation and submission of all contractual correspondence Preparation and submission of all Change Orders and Claims and ensure all submissions are in accordance with the Contract requirements Ensure the Project maintains a current log of all issues and change orders. Ensure the Project maintains accurate issue files for all contractual/commercial issues. Periodically audit Project correspondence such as minutes of meetings and incoming correspondence to identify any potential commercial issues Liaise with legal advisors where required Liaise with technical staff to review commercial/contractual issues Perform periodic risk assessments of the Project and provide recommendations for any available mitigation measures Manage the preparation of Baseline Project Schedule and any subsequent major overhauls Manage the submission of monthly schedule updates to ensure all issues are properly captured and incorporated, where necessary, into the schedule updates. Manage the tracking and controlling of all project costs Ensure timely submission of pay applications and timely follow up to expedite payments Who you are: We are pursuing experienced professionals with the following qualifications: 5+ years of relevant work experience Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent construction/Union trade background Proficient in scheduling, budgeting, and financial reporting Experience with negotiations of claims and change orders Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Problem solving and critical thinking skills Ability to prioritize and manage time Who we are: With $600 Million in annual revenue and 70 years of experience completing complex infrastructure projects, Aldridge is widely recognized as one of the leading contractors in the country.
