The mission of the End User Core Build (EUCB) Team is to enhance and support the Naval Enterprise Network (NEN) end user environment including all stages of creating and maintaining the standard end user device core build for delivery, upgrade, and security updates. As a Software Application Packaging and Delivery Specialist - Senior, you will be responsible for contributing to a team which creates, manages, and seamlessly delivers the Windows desktop core build ensuring quality, accuracy, and precision in all known configurations. You will provide support to the Prime Contractor''s integrated team and deliver individual technical excellence, while striving for continual improvement in everything you do. You will work in a fast paced, time critical environment supporting the Warfighter and bringing innovative change and value to the entire Navy/Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI). Responsibilities: • Adhere to roadmaps and standards for enterprise Operating Systems and Core Applications.• Research and develop standard configuration settings appropriate for each application.• Assist in the development of associated infrastructure components (Active Directory configuration, Group Policy settings, etc.).• Provide application packaging teams with relevant information and liaison throughout the application package creation process.• Develop and execute lab testing plans (including automated and manual testing processes).• Assist relevant teams with completion of the software release process following successful lab testing.• Liaise with software vendors to understand product lifecycles, security updates and other releases.• Create and submit required documentation and other reports associated for the applications.• Issue escalation to software vendors where appropriate.• Document and report fixes and updates during the development process.• Attend Team meetings to provide updated status and to receive new/updated task priorities.• Manage and maintain critical vendor relationships and support agreements.• Complete training and continued education requirements for your role and labor category.• Evaluate areas of improvement and make recommendations to the Service Delivery Manager (SDM).• Create and/or evaluate root cause analyses for any technical issues encountered.• Support an inclusive and effective team environment.Requirements:• Secret security clearance required. with experience working in the DoD environment.• Bachelor''s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field with 10 years of relevant experience.• DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II certification.• An Operating System (OS)/Application certification such as Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA).• Three to five years of software engineering.• Three to five years of solution development.• One to three years of technical document writing experience.• Extensive experience with Windows Registry Editor and standard scripting languages and techniques (VBS, PowerShell)• Extensive knowledge of and experience with installing, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting Microsoft client operating systems including Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 as used in global enterprise environments.• Extensive experience with Microsoft Office and other enterprise applications, including ownership, support, and management in multi-language environments.• Experience with and knowledge of Active Directory design and Group Policy Object management.• Experience using integrated development environments, especially Microsoft Visual Studio, as well as advanced programming languages (.Net, C++, etc.)• Understanding of application packaging and deployment technologies used in corporate environments including Windows Installer and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (previously System Center Configuration Manager).• Knowledge of and experience with implementing JavaScript. • Exemplary communication, analytical skills, and technical knowledge across the client environment.• Ability to produce concise and clear technical documentation.• Results orientated and schedule driven.• Experience translating vague requirements into a functional design.• Experience working as an active member of a team.• Ability to understand and manage customer expectations.• Ability to learn and contribute to proprietary tool sets.• Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of senior management, customer contacts and other groups within the SMIT program.• Must be able to work locally in the Baseline NEN Lab onboard NIWC PAC in San Diego.
