As a Specialty Development Sales Executive, you are responsible for effectively communicating and selling the benefits of Laboratory Corporation of America (LCA) commercial products in a territory that covers Michigan. The right person will have the opportunity to take on additional responsibility with multiple career growth opportunities as we expand our footprint and leadership in the fields of precision medicine and companion diagnostics.Responsibilities:Meet and exceed sales goals and achieve maximum sales growth in assigned territorySuccessfully build and execute an annual business plan with quarterly updatesCold call and build a sales pipeline that will provide ongoing revenue goal achievementAccurately forecast and maintain a sales funnel of new opportunities in-line with a 90-day quotaEffectively manage travel logistics to maximize sales productivitySuccessfully sell cross functionally within a hospital system and laboratoryAttend local and national professional trade shows and events as requestedLearn and sell Clinical Specialty focused products and servicesEffectively communicate value propositions to all targeted customers and prospectsPerform in-services, training and implementation with pertinent personnel and physician staffCollaborate and actively contribute to new business opportunities with LCA counterpartsUpdate all relevant customer account information into CRM Data Management SystemsProvide ongoing customer support, education on focus products and market updates for current customer base.Requirements:Bachelor''s degree in the life sciences is preferredA Minimum 5 years of outside sales experience is requiredExperience in the healthcare or clinical laboratory/medical device industryProven success managing a book of businessStrong persuasiveness as well as influencing and closing skillsAbility to understand complex scientific literature and use clinical data as a selling factorStrong communication skills: written and verbalExcellent time management and organization skillsProficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Power Point - ExcelMust have a valid driver''s license and clean driving recordPosition requires some overnight travel for client visits, sales events and trade showsLabcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer:As an EOE/AA employer, the organization will not discriminate in its employment practices due to an applicant''s race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or veteran status.For more information about how we collect and store your personal data, please see our Privacy Statement.
