In this position you will provides technical support to the Sales Department and to clients concerning technical issues related to diagnostic devices and lab-based testing while working in a fast paced, customer focused, and challenging environment, and will be a part of our overall mission at LabCorp: -Improving Health, Improving Lives-.The Technical Services department has a collective goal to support our customers by providing remote technical support services, including evaluating product complaints and assisting in testing services. Additionally, Technical Services is a team of well-rounded individuals and relies upon close interdepartmental relationships to successfully accommodate the needs of our customers, often going above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction and thoroughness. Engagement and creative feedback are fundamental within the department, therefore the new team member will train directly under the Team Lead and Department Manager, building a one-on-one relationship from day one.Requirements:Bachelor''s degree from a four-year college or university in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology REQUIRED and/or five years of quality assurance or control experience.1 year of lab experience required at Technologist levelAbility to work independently and within a team environmentProficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plusHigh level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skillsMust be able to pass a standardized color vision screenFlexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needsExperience working in complaint management is a plus.The work schedule for this position will be: 1st Shift Monday - Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm). Job Duties/Responsibilities: Supports the Complaint Management System.Advise clients conducting validation studies.Provide technical support to the Sales Department and their clients; provide technical training to Sales and clients as teracts with Quality Engineering to problem solve and troubleshoot device performance issues.Answer telephones, maintain logs/records, organizational skills, proficiency with numbers, research information, time management, train employees, use computerized databases, written and verbal communicationsBasic knowledge of Windows, MS Word, Excel, and AccessStrong technical aptitudeAble to break down concepts in understandable terminology to end usersPhysical Demands/Working Conditions/Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and hear. Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate computers and other office equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
