Application Specialist

Trillium Technical is now seeking an Application Specialist for work in Dorchester, MA! Application Specialist is responsible for the planning, development, operational, and coordination of information systems implementation, maintenance and enhancements. S/he will participate in the design, development, testing, implementation, project management and on-going maintenance of new and existing computer programs/projects. S/he will also assist with educational programs for end users. Responsible to work in partnership with the business stakeholders and the other groups within the Information Systems (IS) team. S/he will collaborate with internal as well as external customers of IS and other stakeholders to identify requirements, assess available technologies and recommend solution options. Individuals in this job position will be competent to perform work and be familiar with project management techniques that will provide project leadership responsibility for projects, regularly coach other team members or plan work for others to meet project deadlines. The Application Specialist is challenged to assess objectives for the assigned project phases and recommend technical strategies to achieve business needs and to anticipate organizational impacts as they relate to the transitional effects associated with the introduction of new technologies. S/he will require a clear understanding of expectations and capabilities and shall act effectively as a team member and share responsibility with other team members to ensure on-time project and product delivery. • The Application Specialist will be supporting Epic Systems, as well interfaces between Epic and Harvest and Dentrix If interested, please apply today! Qualifications• B.S. required in science / health related discipline, or equivalent community health center related work experience and technical training is required • 3-5 years of related clinical and/or practice management systems design, development and implementation experience required. • Strong understanding of personal computers required. • Strong understanding of common software applications (ex. MS Office) required. • Community Health Center business knowledge highly desirable. • Current registration in related clinical specialty highly desirable. • Knowledge of project management techniques highly desirable. • Experience in clinical systems implementation in a similar or related environment to that of the CHC is preferred • Must be proficient and have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.). • Experience with Cadence, Prelude and Resolute preferred.
