This is a remote role with partial on-site presence required. The Project Manager will lead the execution and delivery of a major geospatial investment for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). You must have experience and a passion for geospatial data, the bigger the data challenge the better! Primary responsibilities include the ability to apply expertise in project management, process improvement, outreach, training, requirements gathering, geospatial governance, and website design and maintenance. Additionally, change management experience with a large IT organization and system is desired, along with an understanding of data science principles in support of the data-based approaches of the project. Required Skills: The Project Manager serves as the main interface with the client, works with Solution Architect(s), development teams, trainers, requirements leads, and Scrum Master, and leads the project team through IT lifecycle (from requirements, development, testing, and deployment). Start date will be contingent hire on Entry on Duty (EOD) approval. Must love geospatial data and solving real world challenges with geospatial dataStrong experience with Esri geospatial products, and platforms Responsible for functional and administrative management of assigned staff. Must be able to work with remote staff.Experience with Microsoft TeamsExperience in managing a diverse group of functional activities with varying groups of technical and administrative personnelWork with client decision makers on particular systems designs within the confines of client-mandated policies and governanceInteract with clients to elicit functional and system requirementsProject Management Professional (PMP) certificationOutstanding communication skills Desired Skills: Previous experience working with third party technology partnersFamiliarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud technologyCurrent DHS Entry on Duty (EOD)Experience with Confluence/JIRAPrevious experience managing contract financials Education and Certification Requirements: Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationBachelors Degree and 8 years exp. OR Masters Degree and 6 years relative experienceTop Secret Clearance requiredU.S. Citizenship required in order to comply with law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.
