Join us!The Expert, External Communications is responsible for the Clarivate corporate public relations and industry analyst relations programs. The role will be responsible for creating and executing on the company''s global corporate PR and AR plans. This position is key role within the company''s external communications function and will work alongside an experienced global team to help build familiarity of the Clarivate brand and company narrative.The person in this role will collaborate closely with many areas of the business to ensure we build effective and measurable PR and AR programs that directly influence and manage our reputation as a trusted global provider of actionable information and insights. The role will include building direct relationships with top-tier media by pitching high-quality stories, as well as identifying and building relationships with key industry analysts from global and local firms.The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with senior executive spokespeople as well as product experts and knows how to build successful PR and AR programs. Having top-tier existing media relationships is a plus and experience as a corporate media spokesperson and delivering compelling messaging is crucial to success. The person in this role must have previous experience of working within a publicly listed organization.The Expert, External Communications needs to be a great writer, a super organizer with a keen eye for detail as well as an ability to plan strategically. The ideal candidate is a great communicator, comfortable presenting to large and small teams virtually and able to work with stakeholders from all levels and areas within an organization. This is a great opportunity for someone with a flexible and positive can-do attitude.The role is remote, working with colleagues and media around the world across time zones and regions.Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Corporate Public Relations: Lead the company''s corporate PR function to influence our global reputation positively and increase brand familiarity.* Develop and deliver a global, integrated, corporate PR plan, including effective strategies for telling our company stories via the right media globally* Craft and manage our corporate PR narrative, ensuring we deliver news-worthy angles and high-quality stories, including writing great content such as, but not limited to, news releases, pitches, papers, blogs and media alerts* Increase visibility of our executives and subject matter experts via a range of channels and activities, working closely with the social media and thought leadership teams* Directly develop and manage relationships with top-tier media, including handling incoming media enquiries* Work alongside the global external communications team to ensure messaging and stories are aligned and amplified, and coordinate with the investor relations function on corporate announcements* Manage participations in relevant corporate speaking engagements and awards programs* Support of monitoring, measuring and reporting resultsIndustry Analyst Relations: Lead the company''s corporate AR function to influence our global reputation positively and increase brand familiarity.* Develop and deliver a global, integrated, industry analyst plan, including effective strategies for telling our company and product stories via the right analysts* Work alongside our product marketing team to ensure we build the right high-quality content for effective and successful analyst briefings* Increase visibility of our subject matter experts via appropriate industry analyst reports, projects and briefings* Directly develop and manage relationships with identified analysts, including handling incoming analyst enquiries* Work alongside the global external communications team to ensure messaging is aligned and amplified, and coordinate with the investor relations function on corporate announcements* Manage participation in relevant speaking engagements and analyst events* Create a way of monitoring analyst coverage, and measuring and reporting resultsSupport the company''s wider global communications functions as necessary.Requirements:* Educated to degree level or above - ideally with a degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Business Communications or Marketing* 10+ years'' external communication experience* Industry analyst relationship experience highly desirable* Hold a strong network of relevant media and/or analyst contacts* Excellent teamwork skills and knows how to get things done via cross-functional teams* Results-oriented with a focus on best-in-class performance* Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor communications styles across different stakeholders at varying levels of seniority* Practical, business-oriented approach to problem solving and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balanced by an appreciation for complexity and risk* Strong business acumen along with ability to quickly learn and understand the financials and operational levers of the business* A persuasive communicator and storyteller with excellent writing and proof-reading skills is essential* Experience of working in a global matrix organization is essential, as is experience of working within a publicly listed organization* Good relationship management skills, with the ability to develop and maintain trusted links with key global colleagues in a short period of time* Excellent organizational skills to effectively plan resources and timescales, work flexibly and cope with change* Flexibility with working hours that comes with working across regions and time zones worldwideIt is the policy of Clarivate to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, pregnancy, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic information, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
