Section 508 SME with Security Clearance

Job Title: Section 508 SME Clearance Type: Top Secret with SCI Eligibility Duties and Responsibilities:* Tests programs, processes, and systems to measure accessibility and Section 508 compliance of products and services * Assists with writing basic test procedures and protocols to assess product accessibility and evaluate the ability of products to meet Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 standards and specifications * Gathers basic test data and evaluates the results of tests to determine if product designs and architecture meet specifications and performance expectations * May collaborate with other engineering groups to improve or upgrade Accessibility features and/or product performance * Provide technical assistance and remediation guidance to developers * Document testing methodologies and write accessibility compliance reports * Recommend potential solutions by evaluating new and emerging assistive technologies that support Reasonable Accommodations designed to increase accessibility * Deliver accessibility training and seminars as needed for the program * Maintain current knowledge of Section 508, its amendments, updates, and industry best practices for IT accessibility Skills and Abilities: Experience:* 5 years of minimum work experience specialized in accessibility and conducting Section 508 compliance audits * Experience working with screen readers (i.e. JAWS) * This person must be able to demonstrate knowledge of how to use ARIA tags.* Must have experience running code against an HTML validator, or be able to explain major errors under the category of WQ3 Failure 70 Education:* Bachelor''s degree Required or 4 years of related work experience Job Soft Skills Required:* Candidate must be organized and stable* Candidate must work well in a team environment* Candidate must be able to communicate well with the client and coworkersAbout Us: MirLogic Solutions Corporation is an 8(a) small disadvantaged business founded in 2008 and located in Alexandria, Virginia.
