Software Engineer Location: Rockville, MD Job ID: 64090 6 months Contract Please Email Resumes to Active Secret Clearance Required Job Description: The Jupiter program is looking for an experienced Software engineer with prior experience or desire to learn the wireless communications domain. This software team primarily uses C/C++ software languages to design, develop, integrate and test 4G-based eNodeB software. Basic Qualifications :- Strong experience in C/C++ development- Self-starter who is experienced in debugging and troubleshooting software issues- Experience with 4G LTE and 5G Desired skills :- Wireless communications experience or desire to learn this domain- Experience with 4G LTE and 5G NR (New Radio) physical layer and physical specifications, such as 36.100 series and 36.200 series / 38.100 series and 38.200 series- Experience with modeling and simulation of 4G and/or 5G physical layer- Satellite communications (SATCOM) experience and knowledge about SATCOM protocol standards (e.g. DVB-S/S2/S2x/RCS/RCS2, Geo Mobile Radio, etc.) Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
