Traffic Emulation Engineer with Security Clearance

Job Number: R0142573 Traffic Emulation EngineerThe Challenge: Network modeling and simulation is a challenging area of network and system design. Emulating internet and network traffic is critical to providing a realistic network for USAF training operations. Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That''s why we need you, a traffic emulation engineer who knows how to craft the exact network the USAF needs. As a traffic emulation engineer on our team, you''ll help the Air Force build a reliable network to support critical missions. You''ll work with SMEs, developers, and users to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape the network requirements. You''ll then plan the acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the traffic emulation components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms, to supporting the acquisition of hardware, you''ll put your hardware and software talents to good use. You Have: * Experience with basic traffic generation software * Experience working with internal military installation traffic and external internet traffic * Experience with scripting or programming fundamentals for automation * Knowledge of proper network traffic analysis * Ability to obtain a security clearance * HS diploma or GED Nice If You Have: * Experience scripting or programing traffic generation to automate delivery * Experience working with Kubernetes, Docker, or other containerization software * Knowledge of Linux and Windows OS * Knowledge of DNS, IMAP, SMTP, and POP3 * Knowledge of 802.11 Standards * TS/SCI clearance Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
